House Form
1. House Style: There are many architectural styles of residential houses. Each has specific advantages and disadvantages and are often key factors. The most seen are: Ranch; Cape; Split level; Colonial, etc. Key Ranch feature - style, is, is, on one floor! This especially appeals to those who do not want, or are challenged, to climb up and down! But, this also means that the bedrooms are all on the same floor, which can limit the curb appeal of the rest of the space! The houses, known as Capes, are named because, at one point, they were prevalent on Cape Cod.
2. Heating options: Although not all forms of heating options may be available, the main options in all areas are: oil; gas; electric; solar; geo - thermal etc and/or some combination/hybrid system. There are differences in cost, clean air, ease of delivery; etc. so consider what you might be most comfortable and happy with!
3. Traditional vs. modern design: Some issues are based on the personal taste and preferences of the buyer. Do you prefer a more traditional style or a modern design? What qualities, etc. do you consider priorities, etc.?
4. Number/size of bedrooms: How many bedrooms do you need and want - for, to address, current and foreseeable future needs, etc.? What size are you looking for and why? Take a look at the master bedroom in particular and ask if it will make you happy!
5. Bathrooms: How many bathrooms do you want (for example, how about a Master Bath, etc.) and are you looking for some major needs and features? Although you may renovate often, consider cost, convenience, personal taste, needs and personal priorities!
6. Kitchen options: What are you looking for in a kitchen?
