Communication

A YouTube channel without subscribers is a show without an audience, and it can become demeaning to uploading videos and getting fans. To get more subscribers, you need to put yourself in their shoes. A subscriber is someone who likes your content enough to want to be notified every time your channel is updated with new content. That's a big compliment to pay someone, so it's understandable that not everyone who watches your videos will jump on the subscription bandwagon. That being said, there are a few things you can do to improve your sales and start getting more subscribers.

More content

You guessed it; the easiest way to attract more subscribers is to add more content to your channel. The more videos you have in the sea of YouTube videos, the more likely someone will come across one of them and find your channel.

You'll also want to set a schedule for when you post your videos. If people see that you're adding new content , they're much more likely to subscribe than if they see that you haven't posted in a while and when you did, it was sporadic.

Communication
ate with the audienceNothing builds a sense of community better than a content creator who responds and talks to their audience. If someone comments on your video, be sure to thank them. If a conversation breaks out in the comments section regarding what has been posted, please chime in and give your two cents. Even if the comments are less than friendly, thank them for their attention and ask for some constructive criticism (except when they're trolling, of course). Try ending your video by talking to your viewers and asking for their opinion on something or even an idea for your next video. Engaging your viewers will go a long way in building a relationship with them that will keep them around for a long time and spread the good word about you.
Achive

Take a moment to research similar channels like yours that are already successful. Once you find a few, write a friendly message explaining a little about your channel and what you do. Then you can propose to exchange places on the lists of recommended users. This will link to their channel from your channel and vice versa. Now this is a big option for the next YouTuber and you might want to wait until you have a decent video library built up before going around asking people. If they see that you are dedicated and pumping out content regularly, they will most likely accept your invitation and your channel will get that much attention.

Another huge benefit of exchanging featured spots with someone in the same industry is that you'll be showing yourself to your target audience. If you were to create a let's play channel for Dead Space and trade featured spots with a famous knitter on YouTube, chances are very few of their viewers would want to watch your channel.

Application for Subs

There is a fine line between actually asking people to subscribe to your channel and begging them to do so. There are several different ways to ask viewers to subscribe, all which should be placed at the end of the video. Starting off with a request to subscribe to your channel is a terrible way to start a video that is supposed to be entertaining/informative. Try to live by the golden rule of the internet, never ask people for anything unless you've given them something of value first (in this case, your video).
