1. The Roof
The reality is that any roof, no matter how well it was installed and how strong the materials etc., has a finite lifespan! Thus, it is wise to check it , maintain it and take the best care of it! , ! It is wise to have a roof made of the highest quality materials installed by the best professionals!

How well are they built and what is the quality and condition of your walls?
3. Windows
Windows should be checked for proper sealing, especially around external components! Many tend to ignore and take structural integrity for granted and many potential water leaks come from these structural inconsistencies!
4. Groundwater Water
When there is groundwater, especially from shallow, underground streams and/or other water sources, when there is heavy rain, especially when the ground is either cold or there is no place for new water to enter the ground as it is saturated from recent rains etc which generally means it will happen again! These need to be dealt with by using French drains, which are trenches etc. dug usually around external walls (usually inside the house but sometimes inside) and using special types of PVC pipes with holes. and which lead to something like a sump pump to remove the water once the level rises,
5. Exterior Maintenance Groundwork
Often when other things don't address these types of issues, we recommend exterior work! Installing a dry well in specific areas/locations, land improvement – leveling, correcting and tilting the land outside the house to a proper working location are some of the potential steps some are taking.
